Music Box 31/07/2021

We start this Saturday with Caroline Blind (website https://carolineblind.bandcamp.com/), ex-member of Sunshine Blind who from 1991 released three albums. Now solo, this is the track Heaven, from her sole LP The Spell Between (Motherofskye Creations 2020). Buy here.
Next up, Basildon Essex electro-pop group Depeche Mode and the official video for I Feel You (Mute 7"/12"/CD 1993), also from their eighth LP Songs of Faith and Devotion (Mute 1993). The gorgeous creature in the video is English actress Lysette Anthony.
Before 10cc, Graham Gouldman had a career as a pop singer and songwriter. This is Growing Older, the B-side to his fifth single Nowhere To Go (CBS 7" 1972).
A childhood favourite of mine now. Jacky (aka Jackie Lee) and the song White Horses (Philips 7" 1968), which was the British theme tune for the dubbed German-Yugoslavian children's TV show White Horses (1965 13X25mins B&W), which was endlessly shown on BBC from 1968 to 1978. Pure innocence.
As promised last week, we finish with a couple of brilliant tunes from the great Elvis Costello & The Attractions. First, Green Shirt, from his third LP Armed Forces (Radar Records 1979) then we conclude with New Lace Sleeves, from his fifth, Trust (F-Beat 1981). Until next week ...
