Next, our UK pop-psyche gem from 1969. Edwards Hand, formerly known as Picadilly Line (sic), was a British musical group formed by Welshman Rod Edwards (keyboards and vocals) and Englishman Roger Hand (acoustic guitar and vocals). After a 1968 album released under their former name, in 1969 they released an eponymous album produced by George Martin who, taking a break from working on The Beatles' White Album, described their music as "exceptional". This is Magic Car, from that LP Edwards Hand (GRT 1969).
The Ocean Party hail from Melbourne Australia and this is the gorgeous Rain On Tin, from their tenth album The Oddfellows' Hall (Spunk 2018). Buy here.
Cullen Omori (website) is an indie singer/songwriter hailing from Chicago. This is A Real You, from his second solo LP The Diet (Sub Pop 2018), buy here.
We conclude with a brace of videos from one of my favourite artistes, Los Angeles Gilmore girl herself, Sam Phillips (website). First, Broken Circle, from her eighth album Solid State: Songs From The Long Play (Littlebox Recordings 2011), then we finish with Things I Shouldn't Have Told You, from her ninth long player, Push Any Button (Littlebox Recordings 2013). A great way to end today’s musical feast. Until next week …
