We start this Saturday with Actuel, Trio based in Nashville, Tennessee during the early 80's. Originated in San Francisco in 1981. This is the gorgeously haunting Until Another Time, from their sole LP Monuments (Actuel Records Netherlands only 1984).
The Haunted were a Canadian (Quebec) garage rock group from Montréal, active in the mid-1960's. This is their debut single 1-2-5 (Quality 7" 1966).
Next up, Small Black, an American indie band from Brooklyn, New York, with Shook Loves, from their third LP Limits of Desire (Jagjaguwar 2013).
The Wake were a Scottish indie pop band, formed in Glasgow by ex- Altered Images bassist Caesar, and initially active between 1981 and 1995. This is Patrol, from their debut LP Harmony (Factory 1982 cat no. FACT60)
We conclude with a brace of official promo films for The Beatles twelfth UK single, Paperback Writer c/w Rain (Parlophone 7" 1966), released 57 years ago on May 30th.
