The Autocollants were an American shambling shoegaze group, and this is Send Me Back, from the various artists sampler Epithalamia (Clairecords CD 2000), epithalamia meaning a song or poem written to celebrate a marriage.
Next up Idlewild, a Scottish indie rock band from Edinburgh, formed in 1995, and the classic American English (Parlophone 7”/CD 2022), from their fourth LP The Remote Part (Parlophone 2022).
Shelf Life is a solo artist from Philadelphia Pennsylvania, and this is Good Son, from his LP Spirit Bera (self-released digital 2016). Buy here.
The Starfires were a Mid-1960s garage band from Los Angeles, who released six singles and one LP. This is their debut single, I Never Loved Her (G.I. Records 7" 1965).
We conclude with a brace of official videos for Barking boy Billy Bragg (website). First, Waiting For The Great Leap Forwards (Go! Discs 7” 1988), from his fourth album Workers Playtime (Go! Discs 1988), then conclude with Sexuality (Go! Discs 7”/12”/CD 1991), from his sixth LP Don't Try This At Home (Go! Discs 1991),  featuring Johnny Marr on guitar (with it seems the exact same guitar part as he used on Electronic’s “Idiot Country”!). Enjoy. Until next time …
