Clothilde (pseudonym of Élisabeth Beauvais; born February 22, 1948) is a French singer who was active for a brief period in 1967. She is the daughter of writer and broadcaster Robert Beauvais and actress Gisèle Parry. She recorded only two 45 rpm records in 1967 with words written by Jean-Yves Gaillac to music orchestrated by Germinal Tenas. Her material was re-released in 2013 by Born Bad Records. This is 102, 103, from her second E.P. Saperlipopette (Bleuet et chiendent) (Vogue 7” 1967).
Next up, Manchester legends The Fall, with Flat Of Angles, from their second LP Dragnet (Step-Forward 1979)
Pam Oakley And The Viscounts released two singles only in their native Australia, and this is her first, I Want To Be A Surfer Girl (RCA Victor Australia 7” 1964)
We conclude with Manchester duo Red Turns To, and all three songs, Deep Sleep, Lost Again, and Waves, from their sole release, the single Deep Sleep (Factory 12” 1984 cat no. FAC116). Brilliant, especially the last. Until next week …
