The Names were a Brussels new wave band originally active between 1979 and 1982, associated with Factory Records and Les Disques du Crepuscule. During this period the group worked extensively with producer Martin Hannett. The band reformed in 2007. Here’s their second single Night Shift (Factory 7” 1981 cat no. FAC29)
Now a classic from The Who, Mary Anne With The Shaky Hand, from their third LP The Who Sell Out (Decca 1967), also released as a B-side on the US version of single I Can See For Miles (Decca 1967)
We conclude with the official videos for two classic singles from Talking Heads. Once in a Lifetime (Sire 7”/12” 1981), from their fourth LP Remain In Light (Sire 1980). Then we conclude with Road To Nowhere (Sire 7”/12” 1985), from their seventh (sixth studio) LP Little Creatures (Sire 1985). Brilliant. Until next week …
