A. R. & Machines was a 70s Krautrock project of ex-The Rattles guitarist/vocalist Achim Reichel, featuring lots of guitar and echo machines. Joining Achim was fellow Wonderland member Frank Dostal as song writer, and a selection of choice musicians from the Hamburg scene. This is single Come On, People (Polydor Germany only 7" 1971), also found on their debut LP Die Grüne Reise - The Green Journey (Polydor Germany only 1971)
Next up, Kid Montana with vocals from Anna Domino - The Last Love Song, from sampler Ni D'Eve, Ni D'Adam (Les Disques Du Crépuscule 20216 cat no. TWI 1235 CD)
Next up, The Pandoras, an all-female rock band from Los Angeles, California from 1982 to 1991. They began as part of the 1960s revival garage rock scene, and later adopted a hard rock sound.- This is title track It's About Time, from their debut LP It's About Time (Voxx 1984), re-released this year to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Buy here (40th anniversary re-release)
The Quests were a Grand Rapids, Michigan garage rock group active in the mid-1960s who released four singles. Here's the third one, What Can I Do (Fenton Records 7" 1967)
We conclude with one of my favourite bands of all time (outside of the 1960s, natch). Two album tracks from Manchester's finest Joy Division. First, She’s Lost Control, the album version from debut LP Unknown Pleasures (Factory 1979 cat no. FACT10), which is different from the more familiar version on the single Atmosphere. Then we finish with Twenty Four Hours, from their second LP Closer (Factory 1980 cat no. FACT25). Absolutely divine. Until next week ...
