Music Box 8th November 2025

We start with Altered Images, a Scottish new wave/post-punk band who found success in the early 1980s. Fronted by singer Clare Grogan, the group branched into mainstream pop music, having six UK top-40 hit singles and three top-30 albums from 1981 to 1983. See Those Eyes (Epic 7"/12" 1982) was their fifth single, also from their second LP Pinky Blue (Epic 1982)
Next, French artist Marie Audigier, of whom I know nothing,  malheureusement. This is her single Un Voyage (Les Disques Du Crépuscule 7" 1990 cat no.TWI 945-7) and it's gorgeous
The Eyes (website) were a mid-60s Pop/Freakbeat group from the Ealing area of West London, who released four singles. This is their debut When The Night Falls (Mercury 7" 1965)
Nightrax is the atmospheric musical project of UK based musician and artist Dom Deane. Here is the brilliant video for the excellent electro track Touch the Void, with guest vocals by Jana Sotzko (Point No Point). From the  Nightrax E.P. (Black Arrow Communications casse/digital 2022) Buy here
We conclude with Icelandic legends The Sugarcubes, and a double-bill of official videos for singles Birthday (One Little Indian all formats 1987) and Hit (One Little Indian 7"/12"/CD 1991). Both are absolutely brilliant. Until next week ...
