Lisa Crawley is an Indie pop singer from Auckland NZ, and here's th eofficial video for her single You Got Me (self-released digital 2018). Absolutely brilliant.
Next up, my favourite song of 2019,The Groundskeeper by Ghost Town Ghost. from the sampler LP Something's There But You're Not Sure What (Fox Food digital 2019)
H.Grimace are a Post punk band from London, United Kingdom, and here's the excellent PIL-influenced 2.1 Woman, from their sole LP Self Architect (Opposite Number 2017)
Kings Of Convenience are an indie folk-pop duo from Bergen, Norway. Consisting of Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe, the musical group is known for their delicate tunes, calming voices, and intricately subtle guitar melodies. This is the beautiful Homesick (which I think is about their main influence, Simon & Garfunkel), from their third album Riot On An Empty Street (Source/Virgin 2004)
Jean Bosco Mwenda (1930-1992) was a pioneer of Congolese fingerstyle acoustic guitar music. He was also popular in other African countries, particularly in East Africa, and in the late 1950s and early 1960s was briefly based in Nairobi, where he had a regular radio show and became a profound influence on a generation of Kenyan guitarists. This is both versions of the song Masanga (Gallotone 10" 78rpm, around 1957), a vocal version in Swahili and Katanga, and an instrumental version. Until next week ...
