The Rising Storm (website) were a garage and folk rock group that was active at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts, USA, between 1965 and 1967. This is Mr. Wind, from their sole LP, the wittily titled Calm Before (Remnant 1967)
Now for the legendary Throwing Muses, and the official video for the rare mini-LP release of Soul Soldier, only found on the vinyl version of The Fat Skier (4AD 1987)
Unclaimed Freight were one of Oliver Tuthill’s later bands post-The Inferno, released out of Flint, Michigan. This is their sole single, Traces (Flint 7" date unknown, but 1966-1968)
Tiny Ruins (website) are a musical ensemble from Auckland, New Zealand, founded 2009 by singer-songwriter Hollie Fullbrook (vocals, guitar). These are the official videos for the excellent How Much, then Olympic Girls, from their brilliant third LP Olympic Girls (Ursa Minor New Zealand, plus Milk!/Marathon/Ba Da Bing! worldwide 2019). An album worth checking out if you're unfamiliar with them. Until next week ...
