Apocalypse were an UK pop/rock band formed in 1978 as a school trio, expanded to a 5-piece in late 1981, and disbanded in 1985, who released two singles. this is their debut Teddy (Jamming! Records 7" 1982), produced by Paul Weller of the Jam.
Blue Effect were a Czech rock group, led by guitarist and composer Radim HladÃk. Formed in autumn 1968 as the immediate successor to The Matadors (2), initially disbanded in 1990. This is I Like The World (Sun Is So Bright), from the Snakes E.P. (Czech only: Panton 7" 1969)
Billy Nicholls was a British singer, songwriter, producer and director; born 15 February, 1949, on the White City Estate in Shepherds Bush, London, UK. This is London Social Degree, from his debut LP Would You Believe (Immediate 1968), which was sadly scuppered by that label's imminent collapse. He is perhaps better known now as a music director and backing vocalist with The Who and Pete Townshend.
Ron Grainer, realized by Delia Derbyshire of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop - Doctor Who (original theme 1963). Ron was an Australian composer who worked for most of his professional career in the United Kingdom. He is mostly remembered for his television and film score music, especially the theme music for Doctor Who, The Prisoner, Steptoe and Son and Tales of the Unexpected. Delia was an English musician and composer of electronic music. She worked with the BBC Radiophonic Workshop during the 1960s, including an electronic arrangement of the theme music to the British science-fiction television series Doctor Who. She has been referred to as "the unsung heroine of British electronic music", having influenced musicians including Aphex Twin, the Chemical Brothers and Paul Hartnoll of Orbital. Music like this had never been heard by the British public before.
