Suzanne Ciani is a musician, composer, producer and sound designer, known for her early experimental work with synthesisers and electronic sounds in the early 70s. This is the melodic, romantically beautiful instrumental Velocity Of Love, the title track for her third album The Velocity of Love (RCA Red Seal 1986).
Next up, John Kerruish and his sole release Time To Wander (A&M 7” 1970).
Another one-off release, this time for Sounds Unlimited, and Cool One (Swal 7” 1967). Fuzzy pop-pysche.
Our yé-yé artist this week is Annie Gautrat, who recorded under the cool mononym Stone. This is her Seul, her version of the Lennon-McCartney song Norwegian Wood, released on her third single, the Le Jour La Nuit E.P. (Polydor 7” 1966). Groovy.
We finish today’s music selection with a brace from Bangkok Thailand indie alt-rock band Yellow Fang. First, PLUNK (พลั้ง), then we conclude with Valentinos (วาเลนไทน์), both from their sole album release The Greatest (self released 2014). Buy here. Until next week ...
