The Checkerlads were a Canadian band from Regina, Saskatchewan active in the late 1960s, formed in 1963. This is Shake Yourself Down, the B-side of their debut single in Canada, Baby Send For Me (Gaiety 7” 1966). The sides were flipped for U.S. release on RCA Victor.
Next up, Californian modern indie band Deerhoof, here with Jenn Wasner of Wye Oak, on their single  I Will Spite Survive (Joyful Noise CD 2017), from their fourteenth studio LP Mountain Moves (Joyful Noise 2017).
Ego Minefield were a late 80s/early 90s power-pop 4 piece from Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, who released two singles. This is Strange To Me, the B-side of their second, All In Your Mind (Danceline 7” 1990).
Next up, Analog/Experimental/Minimal band from United stated, founded in 2010, Modèle Mécanique and Dark of the Moon, which is on soundcloud, but I have no idea if it ever got a physical release.
we conclude with two classics from John Lennon, Love, and then Look At Me, both from his first post-Beatles LP John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band (Apple 1970). Until next week …
