We start today with The Beatles, and John’s classic Dear Prudence, from the band’s 9th (double) LP The Beatles (Apple 2XLP 1968), aka The White Album. Siouxsie & The Banshees did a fine cover version. Original video blocked.

The Fuzzy Robes is a Septet Psychedelic Rock Band from New Zealand, The Band uses the Anglican "A New Zealand Prayer Book" or the ANZPB and is heavily influenced in Christian/Anglican Imagery.  Invocation comes from their second LP Midday Prayers (Winegum 2024)  Buy here

And now a classic from Joni Mitchell, The Boho Dance, from her seventh LP The Hissing of Summer Lawns (Asylum 1975). Absolutely brilliant, love when the flugelhorns come in, a real spine-tingling moment.

The Todes were a 60s garage band from Provo, Utah, also known as Jerry And The Remnants, who released one single under each name. This is the unreleased demo, Heartbreaker.

We finish with two singles from The Jam – Strange Town (Polydor 7” 1979) and follow-up When You’re Young (Polydor 7” 1979). Both were standalone singles, coming between LPs All Mod Cons and Setting Sons. Fantastic. Until next week …
